Practice Summary
Joan’s practice focuses on bankruptcy, creditor/debtor, and consumer protection. She also practices probate and
estate planning, real estate, business law, and guardian ad litem.
Joan K. Mueller is a 2007 graduate of the University of Marquette Law School. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a major in both philosophy and political science. Joan grew up in La Crosse and graduated from Aquinas High School. She is excited to be back in the La Crosse community and close to her family.
Prior to joining Lakelaw 7 Rivers, Joan worked at the corporate headquarters of M&I Bank for several years both as a loan officer and a compliance officer specializing in anti-money laundering. While working full time at the bank and attending law school at night Joan was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for her outstanding work as a Court Appointed Specialty Advocate (CASA) in Milwaukee County. Joan also volunteered at various legal clinics in Milwaukee County throughout law school. In addition, she completed a judicial internship for a Milwaukee County judge and served as a law clerk for Lakelaw Kenosha.
