Practice Summary

Sabrina Herrell operates her own law firm in Chicago and serves as counsel to Lakelaw in predatory lending litigation, mortgage foreclosure litigation, Truth in Lending Act litigation and construction litigation in state and federal courts.  Her background in real estate combined with her knowledge as an architect is a unique blend which adds significant value to the Lakelaw team.  Sabrina Herrell was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2002 shortly after the receipt of her Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Prior to attending Ohio State, Sabrina received her Masters of Business Administration and her Professional Degree of Architecture with a minor in Business Management.

While in school and prior to attending Ohio State Sabrina worked as an architect and project manager in the architectural, engineering, and construction industries; gaining valuable information and training related to design, construction management, legal issues related to real estate, design and construction, and dispute resolution, preparing and leading Sabrina to Ohio State for her JD.

During law school Sabrina was a law clerk at the Student Housing Legal Clinic, assisting students in resolving their landlord-tenant disputes. Sabrina was also an active member of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution and the Dispute Resolution Society. Additionally, Sabrina was a Peer Mediation Coordinator - an outreach program to coach Columbus elementary and high school students to settle their disputes in an amicable manner to benefit all, and a Dispute Resolution and Youth Mentor.
