Practice Summary
Wil can handle a wide variety of matters, both litigation and transactional. He has negotiated franchise agreements and leases, administered probate estates and defended against abusive creditors. Wil pursues a wide variety of litigation, from small claims, through law division including chancery and miscellaneous remedies matters in Lake, Cook and McHenry Counties. Wil now concentrates his practice in litigation. His extensive business experience and public accounting training and background leads to practical results both in and out of court.
Representative Matters
- negotiated acquisition of a fast food franchise
- obtained and collected judgments arising from bad checks, breaches of contract, replevin and eviction
- successfully defended claims against people on credit card debt, medical debt and collection agency claims, including Fair Debt Collection Practices Act claims
- preparation of numerous estate plans including special needs trusts
- administered probate estates, including probate estate with operating truck brokerage firm
- organized and advised numerous startup corporation
- represented plaintiffs in a breach of contract dispute involving recovering damages in excess $100,000 and eliminating restrictive covenants
- successfully resolved a dispute between two brothers involved in a corporate deadlock for more than 3 years at the eve of trial.
