  • David Leibowitz organized and led four training sessions for attorneys and paralegals in support of the Lake County Circuit Court's mortgage foreclosure help desk.  He was recognized for this work in an article in the Lake County News-Sun.

  • David Leibowitz made a presentation about small business insolvency options at the American Bankruptcy Institute's 2009 Midwest Bankruptcy Institute in Kansas City, Missouri.

  • David Leibowitz participated in an all-day intensive presentation about objecting to mortgage related claims in consumer bankruptcy cases at the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys 2009 Fall Members-Only workshop in Tucson, Arizona.

  • Mortgage Foreclosure Defense Seminars - In April, David Leibowitz along with Catherine Doyle, chief staff attorney of the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee presented a series of continuing legal education programs throughout Wisconsin in cooperation with the State Bar.   • BASIL - In April, David Leibowitz presented a program on mortgage foreclosure defense to the Bar Association of Southern Illinois at its annual education seminar in O'Fallon, Illinois.
  • National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys nacba - David Leibowitz will be making a presentation to the annual meeting of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys to be held in May in Chicago. This presentation will address the relationship of mortgage foreclosures and bankruptcy cases.

  • Lakelaw Attorney David Leibowitz gave a presentation on “Implications of Ross-Tousey” to the Milwaukee Bar Assn. in February.

  • David Leibowitz was invited to speak at a symposium to be held by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Authority (WHEDA) entitled Wisconsin Moves Forward to Address Foreclosures which was held in Waukesha, Wisconsin on March 13, 2008.  David spoke on “The Foreclosure Litigation Process.”

  • David Leibowitz made a presentation at the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees spring meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico.   David made a presentation entitled “Dealing with Surplus to Debtor Cases” and David lead a panel discussion on “Predatory Lending”

  • David Leibowitz made a presentation entitled “Bankruptcy Boot Camp” at the annual Commercial Law League of America meeting in Chicago, Illinois, to be held in May 2008.

  • David Leibowitz presented a program on “Foreclosures” at the Wisconsin State Bar’s Annual Convention held in May 2008 in Madison, Wisconsin.

  • David Leibowitz presented a program on Predatory Lending at the Arizona State Bar in June, 2008.

  • David Leibowitz spoke at the National Association of Consumer Advocates 2008 Mortgage Litigation Conference in Cleveland Ohio. He addressed Consumer Mortgage Litigation from the perspective of the Chapter 7 Trustee.
