History

David Leibowitz established Lakelaw in Waukegan on May 1, 1999 after 25 years of distinguished practice in Chicago. People in fast-growing Lake County wanted high quality legal services without having to go downtown. Lakelaw became a leader in bankruptcy and foreclosure defense in Lake County. Soon, people in Chicago and even Southeast Wisconsin sought out our help. We’ve enjoyed continued success and growth Lakelaw now is an interstate firm with locations in Waukegan, Kenosha, Chicago and Milwaukee. Lakelaw now celebrates its 15th anniversary.
